A Conversation With Rafa Anabtwai and Norbert Goldfield

Please join us for a conversation with Rafa Anabtawi, Director of Kayan, and Norbert Goldfield, founder and president of Healing Across the Divides.

Kayan is a feminist organization based in Haifa, Israel, whose mission is to create a nationwide Arab women’s movement and a more inclusive public sphere in Israel. Kayan promotes and defends the social, economic, and civil rights of Arab women, and Rafa will discuss an initiative by Kayan focused on improving the health of Arab women in Northern Israel.

Kayan is funded in part by a grant from Healing Across the Divides, a ten year old American organization whose mission it is to improve the health of marginalized Israelis and Palestinians via community based interventions. The founder and executive director, Norbert Goldfield, will introduce Rafa and frame this important conversation, which comes at a time of heightened communal tension in Israel.
