Yossi will be discussing issues raised in his latest book, just now hitting the shelves: "No End of Conflict: Rethinking Israel-Palestine". The book, available for purchase and for signing at the event, provides ways to better understand and navigate the current challenges.

This is Yossi's first visit to the Berkshires since a similar Americans for Peace Now event in 2010. Yossi provides an informed, straightforward, and valuable perspective, and we encourage you to join us on June 26.

Yossi Alpher is a prominent analyst of Israel's security and conflict resolution with the Palestinians and neighboring Arab countries. He served in Israeli military intelligence, the National Intelligence Agency (Mossad), and with the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies at Tel Aviv University (JCSS) -- including as its director.

Alpher has also been an active participant and leader with the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. He served as advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Barak during the Camp David negotiations, and worked with Palestinians and other Arab interlocutors on various projects. He was co-founder and co-editor, with Ghassan Khatib (former Minister of Labor in the Palestinian Authority) of bitterlemons.org, a web-based Israeli-Palestinian political dialogue magazine, and continues to writes Hard Questions, Tough Answers, a weekly security Q&A available at www.peacenow.org. He is the author of several books, including "Periphery: Israel's Search for Middle East Allies" (2015), and the just released "No End of Conflict: Rethinking Israel-Palestine (2016).
